OCR PDF text search

Scans every page (including scanned/image-only pages with no selectable text) so you can search for a word or phrase.

PDF to Word

Extracts the real text where the PDF has it, and runs OCR automatically on scanned/image-only pages. Works best for simple, single-column documents — complex layouts, tables, and multi-column text won't be preserved exactly.

PDF to PowerPoint

Each page becomes one slide, rendered as a full-page image — layout, fonts, and graphics come out exactly as they look in the PDF. Runs entirely in your browser.

PDF to Excel

Reconstructs rows and columns from the PDF’s own text spacing, and runs OCR automatically on scanned/image-only pages. Works best for simple, clearly-aligned tables — free-form text near a table may get split oddly.

PDF to JPG

Each page becomes a .jpg image. Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Multiple pages are zipped together for download.

HTML to PDF

PDF to HTML

Produces one self-contained .html file — an image of each page with an invisible text layer on top, so it looks exactly like the PDF but the text stays selectable, searchable (Ctrl/Cmd+F), and copyable. Runs entirely in your browser.

How to find and remove blank or duplicate PDF pages online

  1. Choose the PDF you want to clean up.
  2. VitePDF scans every page — checking how much of each one is actually blank, and comparing every page against every earlier one pixel by pixel to catch repeats.
  3. Flagged pages (blank or duplicate) are pre-selected for removal; uncheck any you'd rather keep, or check any extra ones you want gone too.
  4. Click Remove selected pages, then download the cleaned-up file.

Why use VitePDF

  • Catches duplicates anywhere in the document, not just ones sitting right next to each other.
  • Every flagged page is shown as a thumbnail with the reason it was flagged, so you can confirm before removing anything.
  • Everything happens in your browser — your PDF is never uploaded anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

How does it decide a page is "blank"?

It checks how much of the page actually has any content — text, images, lines — versus plain white space. A page that's almost entirely white (a very small margin of stray marks aside) counts as blank.

How does it decide two pages are duplicates?

Each page is rendered as an image and compared pixel by pixel against every earlier page, the same technique used in VitePDF's Compare two PDFs tool. Pages that are visually near-identical — even with only tiny rendering differences — are flagged as duplicates of the first one that appeared.

Can I remove pages that weren't flagged?

Yes — every page has its own checkbox, so you can select any additional pages you want gone, not just the ones VitePDF found.

Is there a file size limit?

Files up to 140 MB are free — Premium removes that limit entirely.
