Batch unlock
many PDFs at once.
Enter the password once — or a list of passwords — and remove the protection from every PDF you drop in. Nothing is uploaded; unlocking runs in your browser tab.
Each file is tried with your passwords in order. Passwords are used only in this tab and are never sent anywhere.

- Click Unlock all. Each file is opened and re-saved without encryption, one at a time, in your browser.
- Download files individually, or click Download all (ZIP) to get every unlocked PDF in one archive.
Why batch unlock with VitePDF
- Open a whole folder of protected statements, invoices or reports without re-typing the password for each one.
- Files and passwords stay on your device — they are never uploaded.
- Content is untouched: only the encryption is removed, so text, images and fonts keep their quality.
Frequently asked questions
Is it legal and safe to remove a PDF password?
Only unlock files you own or are authorised to open. This tool needs the correct password — it does not guess or crack passwords. It simply opens each file with the password you provide and saves a copy without encryption.
Can I unlock PDFs that have different passwords?
Yes. Put one password per line in the password box. For each file the tool tries your passwords in turn and uses the one that works. Files none of the passwords open are marked as needing a password and the rest still finish.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Unlocking runs in your browser tab using a WebAssembly build of qpdf. Your PDFs and passwords never leave your device.
What about PDFs that open without a password but can't be printed or copied?
Those have an owner restriction rather than an open password. With the box left empty, the tool removes that restriction too and saves a copy that can be printed, copied and edited — again, only do this with files you are entitled to modify.
Does unlocking change the content?
No. The pages, text, images and fonts are kept as they are; only the encryption is removed. Your original files are never modified — you download new copies.
