Why batch split PDF pages with VitePDF

  • Turn a whole folder of scanned spreads into single pages in one go, instead of cropping each file by hand.
  • Nothing is uploaded — your documents never leave your device.
  • Pages are not re-rendered — text stays sharp and selectable, and each half keeps its original resolution.

Frequently asked questions

Will the text stay sharp and selectable?

Yes. Pages are placed as vector content rather than turned into pictures, so text stays sharp and selectable. Links and form fields are not carried over, though.

Where exactly is the page cut?

Exactly in the middle. If the book spine in your scan is not centred, one half will hold a little more of the content than the other.

Can I convert password-protected PDFs?

Not directly. A file that needs a password to open is reported as locked — remove the password first with the batch unlock tool, then convert it.

What about password-protected PDFs?

They are flagged and skipped. Remove the password first with Batch unlock PDF, then edit them.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDFs are processed entirely in your browser tab, so they never leave your device.
