Yes. Pages are placed as vector content rather than turned into pictures, so text stays sharp and selectable. Links and form fields are not carried over, though.

What happens when I enlarge the content?

The content grows around the centre of the page, so anything that goes past the edge is cropped. Use a scale below 100% if you need to keep everything.

Can I convert password-protected PDFs?

Not directly. A file that needs a password to open is reported as locked — remove the password first with the batch unlock tool, then convert it.
