Frequently asked questions

Will the text still be selectable?

No. Each page is flattened into a picture with inverted colors, so the text can no longer be selected or searched. Keep your original files if you need to copy text from them.

Will the files get bigger?

Often yes. Because every page becomes an image, a text-based PDF can end up larger. If size matters, try the batch compress tool on the result.

Can I convert password-protected PDFs?

Not directly. A file that needs a password to open is reported as locked — remove the password first with the batch unlock tool, then convert it.

What about password-protected PDFs?

They are flagged and skipped. Remove the password first with Batch unlock PDF, then edit them.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDFs are processed entirely in your browser tab, so they never leave your device.
