Frequently asked questions

Which fields can I set?

Title, author, subject and keywords. Separate several keywords with commas. Fields you leave empty keep their current value in each file.

Does this remove existing metadata?

No. To clear metadata instead, use Batch remove PDF metadata. This tool only writes the fields you fill in.

Can I give each file a different title?

No, the same values are written to every file. For a single file with its own values, use the Edit PDF metadata tool.

What about password-protected PDFs?

They are flagged and skipped. Remove the password first with Batch unlock PDF, then edit them.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The properties are written entirely in your browser tab, so your PDFs never leave your device.
